Individuals of this community uphold the following principles

We truly value the opportunity to develop and practice our beliefs in community and attempt to make real the following six Values.
WELCOMING

We welcome everyone who walks through the Meeting House door with anticipation of the person that we will get to know, knowing that they will add to what we have; New ideas to broaden our own understanding our the world; Our development as people and as a community.
FRIENDLY

We believe that friendliness is an important ingredient in making our community what it is; Helps us to grow as individuals and as a community; Makes it possible to agree to disagree and really mean it; and Is a way of being.
CARING

We care for ourselves and our families;
Our Unitarian community and everyone within it;
Our building, our resources and our finances;
Our local communities
The earth and all its peoples/living organisms and that that sustains them

We respect that everyone who we make a connection with has a right to determine their own beliefs, values and paths and has a unique and individual perspective and experience;
Ourselves for what we are, have been and will become;
The history and culture of Unitarianism and other faiths;
The rituals that we engage in ; and

We are open to Change: individually, within our community and within our Meeting House;
Being patient - change is not always good;
New ways of doing things e.g. worship; and
A transparent way of working, to collective and collaborative searching for what feels right to us.

We believe that providing a comfortable environment gives people a safe place to explore their spirituality;
Being comfortable allows us to focus on our inner selves; and
Our faith community brings comfort through its attitudes as well as its physical environment
